Well now, that it is a matter of debate. The people were confederate, even if the state government was not.
Were the people of Missouri more confederate than the people of Kentucky? I knew both were border stats with significant confederate leanings, but I didn't know if one of them was significantly more so than the other
Missouri folks took up arms and sent men to the confederate army. I don't think Kentucky did in any numbers. Missouri had two separate state governments, and a star on each sides' flags.
