Just had this conversation with your typical unwashed, uneducated Bama fan:

UUB: "Saban takes this game more seriously than the rest because he knows how important it is to us"

Me: "No, he doesn’t"

UUB: "Yes, he does. He knows it's our biggest rival"

Me: "I don't think a guy making 7 million dollars, who's dominated college football for a decade, gives a shit about what Alabama fans consider important"

 

He mentioned in a press conference a few weeks ago that Tennessee was their biggest game and greatest rival, but I think he said it largely to piss off Auburn people.

 

I think we have a legitimate shot if we play our best football for 4 quarters. I just don't think it's likely we do that.

I don't dread it like I have in years past. Regardless of the outcome, we'll see a close game where Tennessee fights like hell. I can live with that
