You'd rather keep Butch than have Kiffin as coach? Serious question.

I am willing to bet you will not be afraid to hire the top notch offensive and defensive minds that are available and you can afford.

Never understood the fear of having coordinators that are great. If you are good at being a HC, you get all the credit for all the work they do. win/win!

If that were the only choices..................I'd take...............uhhhhhhhhhhhh......................IP too.

I'd call Gruden and tell him he can come in any time and I will gladly step aside. Hell, I'd put that it in my buyout. "If you hire a coach who has won an NFL playoff game, I will waive my buyout."

Building a consensus. I should start learning football stuff. I'm almost search material by Hart's standards.

I mean, he's obviously not my number one choice after getting rid of Butch, but if it's between the two, there's no question I'm taking Kiffin. Sorry IP, LOL

"OK, Oline, put a hat on the guy in front or to the right of you. Hurd, run behind this big guy with the number 44 on his back and take one cut back and run to daylight as fast as you can."

Sit back and enjoy. Hell, I think I can be your OC, IP.

It could work. I got eligibility left, so I'd probably try to get myself in the game a little. Be a player-coach.

I'd rather burn Neyland down to the god damn ground. Period. He's a better coach than Butch if thats what you're wanting to hear.

I'm in the worst place anyone can find themselves, I don't care. The fire that has burned inside of me for UT football has been quenched by the last 10 years of utter incompetence both on the field and in the AD. It pains me to say it, but I feel nothing inside anymore while watching a game. I don't love. I don' t hate. There is a huge empty vacuum of complete nothingness. That isn't me. It isn't me at all. I am heartbroken. I've tried to get excited. I've tried to give a shit. It's just not there anymore. I think my rational self has built up a huge defensive wall to protect me because there is not one single thing I can do about. I'm reminded of the prayer, God help me to change the things I can, help me to not stress over the things I can't and grant me the wisdom to know the difference between the two. I feel like I've been granted that wisdom. It sucks. It sucks bad. I try to live with passion. I love what I love and I hate what I hate. And I do that with every fiber of my being. Love and hate makes you feel alive. You actually feel something. I feel nothing right now as it relates to UT football. Nothing. I'm not sure how to react to that. It just feels......dead. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I hate fakes. I hate liars. This is how I really feel. This is the truth standing as the world burns. I "feel" more for those responsible in the AD and coaching staff that I do about the program. Sure, it's hatred in it's purest most unadulterated form, but at least I feel something. That's better than the empty nothingness that resides where a raging fire once lived.

    This sucks.

That is one of the things that I like about this place -- sometimes I feel like I have walked into a 12 Steps meeting. And I definitely need something substantive to try to get out of the funk that is UT football. Alcohol is too short acting.

After years and years of support, both emotional and financial, I feel like I woke up one day to learn that Bernie Madoff was running the program.

Sans finally getting caught and sent to prison. On the contrary, we give pay raises and extensions for such malfeasance. Yay, UT.

Butch Jones is much smarter than you are, which means you likely struggle to figure out which shoe goes on which foot.

I watch with a disconnect, just like it's another game. What's been tough for me is that both my boys are really getting in to sports, especially UT football, so I have to watch.

    It's almost been torture.
