Yeah we usually go out for a nice dinner and that probably ends up being more than I'd spend on a gift anyway

 

So far I think we are doing ok. But they are only 3. My brother in law's 4 year old angrily screamed at the top of his lungs "I want more presents" on Xmas morning after he opened about a dozen of them. I don't know how my brother in law didn't lose it.

 

There's a remedy for such behavior.

Several years ago the wife and I stopped buying each other gifts and now buy our own. That way we get what we want. This year she got a Lenovo Lap Top and I bought tickets to the Ricky Skaggs/Trey Hensley concert. She came out way ahead as she gets both. Hmmmm.................legit for me to get something more.
