Unfortunately, the nature of the game means you'll hate him by the time he is running.

 

How to lose 101, and folks were saying that in August. She was campaigning like it was a forgone conclusion. Her strategy was one of arrogance. Campaigning on Arizona the week of, to avoid the optics of winning without the pop vote is a Dewey/Truman moment.

 

It was amazingly tone deaf. It reminded me of a year long Butch Jones press conference.

 

Some thoughts on this thread -

1. While I theoretically agree with the sentiment of no term limits, I am 100% pro term limits because it provides safeguards against the system. Society needs safeguards. I propose 12 years in the Legislature, divy them up as you wish.

2. I like Ryan. Label me as you wish, but I like him a lot. Always have.

3. Why does Pelosi, Warren, McConnell not step aside? Because they have power. And to be an effective politician (in any sense of the word) in the American system, you have to be ambitious and power-motivated. And power gained is not easily given up by 99% of the American public.

4. Yes, Hillary ran one of the worst campaigns in recent memory.

5. No, I do not read the Tenny/Uni dissertation debates but do chuckle when it takes me 15 seconds to scroll through one of them.

There was still a condescending tone in what he said. It's like he can't acknowledge that conservatives can be bright people too.

 

To be fair, he's a "privileged liberal", so that's probably the least douchie he'll ever get.
