Look, we played 1 game against an option team. Won't see it again for a long time. There is plenty to gripe about, but GaTech is no hack team. It is a better win than Appy St. Yes, we had some lucky bounces, but we were also shackled with Butch and a 1st time starter at QB. And, GT got away with holding several times and a pretty significant block in the back on their final drive. This was a crazy weekend of College Football and I think overall, we generated some goodwill. Now, if they would stop showing Butch on the sidelines with his arms crossed really high and all purpley, we would look a lot better.
And we looked like shit against an inferior opponent should have beaten us. I don't. I think any deserved praise for playing hard and coming back was lost due to the above.
Game 1 is the ideal place to play these guys and we gave up over twice as many yards as Kentucky did against them last year.

Not a chance. Shitty game against a mid tier ACC opponent gets him 0 goodwill. Conference is where it matters.
The conference schedule is horrific. Even with a terrible coaching job he could easily lose only 3 games. Now Bama, they'll beat us by enough to account for 4 losses, so maybe that will matter.
