Where Should I Eat in Your Hometown?

Just got home from Blues Jam, good times all around. Pleasure to meet such a fine young man, and keep the streak going of never meeting an 8th Maxim member I didn't like.

I have to say the food was just so so. Fries were limper than a 90 yr old's [penis], and the slaw was too sweet. Disappointed in this regard, unusual for Ridgewood. How did Will like it?

That's the problem I have with Ridgewood. It is really inconsistent.

You may not like Red Pig or Firehouse, but they make the same consistent sammich over and over again. That's why I prefer their BBQ.

I hate to admit I have yet to try the Red Pig, but I do like the Firehouse fine, particularly the ribs. Ridgewood was not inconsistent when Mrs. Hunnicutt was living.

    Memphis, TN

Cozy Corner - BBQ on North Parkway a couple blocks east from St. Jude
Gus's Fried Chicken - The original is in Mason, TN but the one downtown is top notch as well
Interstate BBQ - Airways at I240 - order the bbq spaghetti - top notch
Cockatoos - For breakfast - best breakfast Ive ever had
Blues City Cafe - on Beale, Ribs are amazing

    A little more upscale

Restaurant Iris - The awards speak for themselves
Flight - Its a unique environment of a wine bar and good food

Always like the Arcade for breakfast in Memphis.

I have not. Give me the run down.

Nevermind, Yelp and US are saying it is closed.

Guess I'm stuck at Sweatgrass still.

Fairview, TN - though I have no reason to see why anyone would be out there, but anyway...

La Plaza - locally known as "el harditos" since it occupies a former (circa mid-late 90's) Hardees. Great quality Mexican food, great service, good value.

...and that's pretty much anything worth a shit. There used to be an excellent family-owned bbq joint (dry hickory smoked style) that was recently sold and turned into some crappy restaurant with all recipes changed.

That sucks, when did it close? We used to go for breakfast after a long night out. Place was awesome in the morning. It must have had trouble since it was only open for breakfast in a high rent district. Oh well, hate you missed it.

You got any more places to add?

Absolutely, my good friends used to live in South Bluffs and we would stumble over in the mornings sometimes to try to cure our hangover.

Hilarious. Will loved it. Pork was very good, and the beans were out of this world as always. Great conversation. We'll do it again soon!

We ended up at Tipton Street Pub for the rest of the night. Decent crowd for a Monday during finals week.

We're gonna try Scratch tonight. We're planning to BOOB (correct acronym for first person plural, yes?) and go full trust. I'll report back.

Should be plural if you're bringing for two. BOOBS.
