That was a good article. It also showed how one concussion doesn't lead to more concussions, necessarily, but just passing protocol doesn't mean you're concussion free.

Do we know if Shrout will not look like a deer in the headlights? Groves might want to keep the gun ready for quick culling!

JJ opens game in wildcat formation, fakes wildcat, throws bomb to Calloway for huge gain, Cocks never recover. We run it down their throats.

EDIT: wrote this before reading TDVols post. Great minds...

Assssss long as it isn’t JG. Anything else, I cut him slack. He can go AJ Suggs and I am good. Trey Smith? I’m good. Walk on? I’m good. Quick kick it Johnny!!!! I’m good. Guarantano? No slack. Double digit win or a set of steak knives and a severance check.

I agree. Playing Maurer would be negligence. He needs to recover fully. If he gets a third concussion because of playing when not ready then he should transfer and Pruitt should be fired. I don’t think he plays.

I disagree about negligence. Players are either cleared to play by a medical professional staff or are not. You cant play a kid at Bama who is cleared, but sit him vs SC.

If hes cleared by medical professionals to play this Saturday, I'd play him. In the short clips i watched of him yesterday in practice, he looked crisp in drills and aware.

It may not be the same type of situation as Trey, but that's how I'd treat it. If medical professionals think hes good and they clear him, and the kid wants to play, and he shows no signs of after affects in practice, then you have to roll the dice and play him. Theres high risk in this sport, just how it is.

The next two steps we wait on is him getting cleared by doctors and Pruitts decision to play him if he is cleared. That may not happen this week.

I know that games and practice are two different things, but I wonder what the affect is or what kind of implications there are for him practicing yesterday. He didn't practice Sunday or Monday, but was out there, in limited capacity, yesterday.

Thats the point though. If hes cleared hes cleared.
Im still not sure he had a concussion but pruitt was not going to put him back in.
I disagree with the poster who wants Les Miles here and pruitt gone in regards "negligence" if he plays a player who is medically cleared and practicing on a Tuesday, which is odd for post concussion.

Idk why the medical staff would clear him when a bunch of message board doofuses say he shouldn’t play

apparently that aids in recovery. Ubben covered it with the neuro specialists. the old way of completely shutting an athlete down doesn't get as good of results as easing them back into non contact while recovering.

it makes a lot of sense, if you think about it. kinda getting back on the horse, stretching familiar neural pathways.

and how about if they don't but a bunch of message board doofuses said he can?

I just think it’s funny when people on here say they know what should or shouldn’t be done
