He sounds like a major reach, but I guess you can't be picky when you desperately need TE's and dont really have much interest out there from guys at the position.
He seems like a great athlete and actually put his hand down and blocked in the two minutes of film I watched, which I never really do.
He's worth a chance. He could blow up and be a mismatch nightmare or he could look like a volleyball player trying to play football.
Only has two years of eligibility, which makes him low risk, and potentially pretty good upside. At worst, he's a body, which we need now that the 2012 recruiting class is doing its best imitation of the 2009 recruiting class. I'm cool with this move.
Played Collegiate VB so we know he's, at least, athletic w/ good feet and hand-eye coordination. TE is a need and we're low not to mention lacking in experience. That said, makes me wonder why we took his commitment when... Josh McNeil decommitted and holds an (Tennessee) offer Josh McNeil Travis Johnson is uncommitted and holds an (Tennessee) offer Travis Johnson Arshad Jackson is uncommitted and holds an (Tennessee) offer Arshad Jackson among others who are rated higher and available.
