My new starter word seems to keep me under 4 pretty frequently.

 

Do tell. I’ve been using ocean for a while which I don’t love. Better than thurl though.

Slate. Can’t remember if I stole it from someone on here or what. I think I was going with Stale for a while but then decided that switching the L and T was better.

Even when I get 0 letters in the first guess, I’ve still ruled out two very common vowels and 3 of the most common consonants. My second guess options are usually pretty limited.

 

I go between steal and sound

 

Slate is my starter word. If I get nothing on it, I usually go with round.

A cool twist would be for all of us to use the same starting word for a week and see who finishes with the least number of guesses for the week.
