Special Assets Manager at a Community Bank.

 

What's a "special asset" considered to be, DD?

Basically managing bank owned properties after foreclosure. Once they get to the foreclosure process I handle all of the paperwork, work with lawyers, attend foreclosure sales, and then "transfer" the non-performing asset into our bank owned properties (OREO). Then I manage the properties by keeping insurance up on them, working with realtors, site inspections, etc. I also work with customers that are in trouble and try to get them back on track without having to go down the bad path. My job is definitely interesting!
