Anyone here enjoy going to a casino? If so, what do you play? I’ve taken up craps in the last year, and really enjoy it.
If I’m in the casino I’m playing craps or blackjack. I also hate losing money, so my trips aren’t that frequent.
I enjoyed it the first time. After that I couldn't care if I ever go back. My wife loves it, so she goes to Cherokee, but I wish her well and stay home.
But they have a bunch in / near you, right? Most people who grew up near them feel the same, I think.
I love craps and play when I’m there (I maybe play 2-3 times a year) but don’t know a damned thing about Blackjack, but wish I did.
That’d be hell for me - I’d undoubtedly bet on TN, and it’d be twice as bad for an already unhealthy obsession. My uncle used to always bet against TN, because he said they always played better when nobody expected it, and if they actually lost, he at least won some cash.
I grew up closer to strip clubs, and I like those. So I'm not sure proximity is a correlating factor.
I enjoy the occasional trip, but mostly stick with slots because I apparently enjoy losing money. Will play 3 card poker on rare occasions and roulette when I'm feeling silly. I just keep it really controlled. I start out with an amount allocated for gambling and will not exceed it. I did come back +$3,500 playing slots only earlier this year.
I've managed to never walk away down. My father in law likes to play and taught me some methods - we've taken a few cruises with my in-laws and the boat casinos use fewer decks to a shoe and you can actually make some headway counting there.
I like 3rd, but people get pissy with you more often there. I literally would go all the time in my younger days but now I rarely go.
