Well no, maybe you are right. I noticed this about foxes and coyotes out in Colorado, so it may be less of an issue in the East where it is greener and there are more opportunities for that niche.
If I were willing to say it was 100% the work of a squatch, the Discovery Channel would be falling all over themselves getting out of a van to put me on camera.
I once saw a deer running through a neighborhood on the sidewalk while I was on my way to GTown Univ Hosp. It was so out of place.
GTown was necessary to describe the area. I added the hospital because I wasn’t sure if the Hospital and the University were in the same exact place.
You sure you weren't at George Washington Hospital? Both hospitals are adjacent to their respective campuses, but George Washington's campus is kind of camouflaged with the surrounding commercial development. Georgetown hospital is recognizably surrounded by college campus stuff, like athletic fields and dorms. Both are adjacent to extensive wooded greenways that support a good number of deer.
There was a show on History, only lasted a season or two, where a couple of guys would go around getting a bunch of locals to sign a waiver to let these guys bow hunt in basically their backyards, because the deer where so bad. I want to say this particular show was based in Massachusetts or Connecticut, but I’m sure it much more common than that.
