I did not stay up and watch but it sounds like a heartbreaking way to end the season. Kids were asking me if they could stay up for it (not on a school night). Gonna be a shame not having another one to do Saturday instead.
I have no idea what volleyball roster construction looks like. The two best players were seniors, as were one or two other starters. But the setter is a freshman, and I have no idea who else is behind them. The season they had this year suggests the coaching is probably solid.
Learned his lesson after losing the soccer coach to FSU 2 years ago, who just won the national title there. (Though to be fair, I’m not sure there was anything he could’ve done anyway. FSU is the best women’s soccer job in the country.)
Welp, scraped into the tournament and just had a chance to go up two sets to one against Georgia Tech in the 7/10 game. Lost it 32-30 after having seven set points. Gross. Kinda doubt they come back after this, hope they prove me wrong
I’m honestly surprised they got in. They weren’t very good this year. Only 8-8 in SEC and lost at home to a terrible UGA team.
Lost nine consecutive set points but just won one to keep the season going at least two points longer
Just gave up a 4-0 run, including a call that nobody except the ref believed. Just when I thought they were going to pull this off
Eh, they gave it a good go. I know they lost a ton from last year’s team. Will next year be better? Who knows, I pretty much only watch the tournament. Outscored GT, just went 1-2 in the tight sets.
