1.Furcal 2.Giles 3.Sheffield 4.C Jones 5.A Jones 6.Javy Lopez Probably my personal favorite top 2/3rds of the daily batting lineup that the Braves ever had during the formative years of my childhood. Lopez will always have a special place in my memory because his swing/stance was the one I chose to copy throughout my baseball career. And Sheffield was not a Brave for very long, but his violent hacks were a lot of fun to watch.
It looks like it’s only picking up 5 teams, none of which are the three teams that are blacked out somewhere in Tennessee. But I am not sure if that’s just a “for now until it’s negotiated” thing
Random fact. Pete Alonso hit .217, struck out 151 times, and had 118 RBIS. This doesn't seem possible.
This guy will never be appreciated enough. One of the best the world will ever see. https://x.com/pitchingninja/status/1749051673593446421?s=46&t=2b6pP7oj5Clj9DJABXtJCQ
I was there at the Memphis Chicks game eating ice cream from a plastic mini helmet in the 80s when Bo hit one of the longest HRs ever.
30 for 30 on him is a great show, too. The claim is made he is the last great "folk hero" in that he came out just before there were cameras everywhere at every event and so there are these stories of his exploits with not real proof over than testimonies. Great show.
was a fun time back then. Used to go to Libertyland then walk over to the stadium. Back then parents would drop us off and pick us up hours later. Eating soft serve ice cream from a mini Expos helmet…doesn’t get any better.
Ryne Sandburg has metastatic prostate cancer. [uck fay] you, cancer. [uck fay] you. Edit: thought it said pancreatic, which is a lot worse. Still, hope he comes out ok.
