Probably my personal favorite top 2/3rds of the daily batting lineup that the Braves ever had during the formative years of my childhood. Lopez will always have a special place in my memory because his swing/stance was the one I chose to copy throughout my baseball career. And Sheffield was not a Brave for very long, but his violent hacks were a lot of fun to watch.

 

Call me what you will but today I learned that Woo Suk Go is a real baseball player

I was there at the Memphis Chicks game eating ice cream from a plastic mini helmet in the 80s when Bo hit one of the longest HRs ever.

 

30 for 30 on him is a great show, too. The claim is made he is the last great "folk hero" in that he came out just before there were cameras everywhere at every event and so there are these stories of his exploits with not real proof over than testimonies. Great show.

 

I went to a Chicks game in 1985 when he was there. All I remember his him & Canseco played

 

was a fun time back then. Used to go to Libertyland then walk over to the stadium. Back then parents would drop us off and pick us up hours later. Eating soft serve ice cream from a mini Expos helmet…doesn’t get any better.
