Florida Week

'90 was my freshman year and I was an idiot and waited pretty late to get my tickets to the game. My tickets were SRO in some risers right behind the Florida bench (the opponents sat in front of our student section then). I could barely see the action, but heckling the Gator players was pretty damned fun.

 

Oh, here is something that has always kind of blown my mind. Florida was our freaking homecoming game that year!

 

I do remember that now. And we hung 51 on UGA that year. Go figure.

I went to the Ole Miss game in Memphis that year on the day we essentially clinched the SEC. Was a great time.

 

Florida used to be nothing special before the 90's, I guess.

I was also at that Ole Miss game.

That was Spurrier's first year there and beating us at home was supposed to be their coming out game. They were ranked at the time, though I can't remember exactly what. Alzheimer's setting in, I guess.

 

Was pretty awesome. Not to the same degree that the 2001 UGA game was reverse awesome, though.
