http://www.thestockandbarrel.com/ Went on Friday. Pretty good. Opening night, so it was hectic, but I'd go again.
Ate at American Roadside Burger yesterday. Very good burger, cooked on the flat top, with American cheese. Nothing fancy, but a solid burger. They have locations in New York and across the Carolinas. Would recommend if you're driving to the beach and need a quick bite.
So Shake Shack is pretty amazing. They started out in Central Park and they are everywhere now it seems. Two thumbs way up.
Not sure if anyone reads this thread anymore but here goes... Went to Louis Lunch in CT a few weeks ago and it was a pretty epic lunch. Louis Lunch claimed to invent the hamburger, and they have been making their lovely burger, medium rare, on white toast, with cheese and onion for almost a hundred years. It is the mecca of burger joints, small, cramped and with lots of history. A must visit if ever that way. And after eating a well prepared, charbroiled, medium rare burger it is hard to eat them prepared any other way.
You have to stop. If you're driving it's just a couple of turns off the Interstate. But I can take a while if it's busy so block off some time.
That's not how I'd typically drive to NH though. Maybe the burger is worth the detour though. I'm an 81 to Wilkes Barre then 84 through Connecticut kind of guy.
Sure but I'm assuming he is not going straight through to NH. Might be wrong. Or where he is coming from!
