Got in this morning. 50 and rainy. Get in the rental and "Heart-shaped Box" is playing. Yep. This is Seattle. My first time. I like it so far.
Are you ever home? The weather in Seattle and the eastern third of Tennessee seems to have many similarities the last few years. At least it seems that way to me. Anyway, be safe in your travels, my friend.
I was in Seattle last year over Halloween. I loved it there. I could see myself retiring to the Pacific Northwest.
Go to Mario Batali's parents place while your out there. Forget the name, but they cure their own salami. Delicious. Seattle is a wonderful city.
I don't really eat very much. I'm more a collector of restaurants than anything, though I do love food, all types. Tacoma has a great Indian place too. They do a lot of coastal Indian cuisine. I'll look it up when I get a minute.
Man, had three different people tell me to go there but didn't make it. Went to a great pizza place and some Irish pub at pikes place. Got anything for Baltimore? I'm there the next couple days.
Pit Beef is the thing to eat in Baltimore. I don't know of any other place in the country that has it. Ask a local their favorite. Federal Hill-area has a lot of good bars. Easy cab ride from wherever you are staying. We bar-hopped there one night but no place in particular stands out. Haven't been to Baltimore in a few years but it's a fun place. Most unique American dialect of any in the country imo.
