Not sure if there's a thread, if there is I apologize. Completed my first today. It was awesome, but brutal with hills.
I've wanted to try this but I'm afraid I'd **** my Jeep up. Considering I've got 2 1/2 years left of payments I just can't pull the trigger.
Based on some people I know who have done this, it's well beyond doable. I was signed up for one, but it got rained out. I think I might have credit or something, but I don't really feel the desire anymore.
I was signed up last year. It got canceled because a tornado hit the course the night before and destroyed several of the obstacles. It's alot of fun if you do it with a group. Training for it was the hardest part.
The one big one my buddy does is a 24 hour race (Worlds Toughest Mudder). That race is NOT well beyond doable and if you think it is I suggest you use your credit and report back to the board how it goes.
Yeah world's toughest is pretty insane. On the regular race, from the standpoint of just finishing it, sure it's very doable...but from the standpoint of actually completing every single obstacle the exact way you are supposed to is not. I attempted everything but probably only completed them all to the fullest at about 60%. There were tons of others who did worse than that. The biggest thing for me was training for it...getting into shape, and now hopefully continuing to stay in shape. The race is actually very fun.
