Happened this morning in Virginia. We are living in a crazy world. Video may be disturbing to some http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/shot-live-tv-news-broadcast-virginia-article-1.2337586
I have not watched it, and not sure I want to watch it. But I have read the article on the shootings, and it is unfathomable. I hope they find the shooter and he is brought to justice.
People spending so much time in their own little isolated internet fueled world are more likely to commit these really weird acts. Overall, technology reduces crime because people are being entertained rather than doing drugs, but I think it also increases these freakish high profile crimes.
Another inscrutable tragedy. Sad Stunned by how nonchalant the perp is. Wouldn't surprise me if this weren't a random act
The way he is dressed and how he carries himself in this one photo I can see, leads me to think this wasn't just random. This was personal and sought out.
Agreed, tech also allows the capturing of these crimes in a way that instead of this being a blurb on a newspaper, it's an experience we all witness. Instead of one murder, one witness, it's one murder 100 million witnesses. Crime rate goes down, the impact of each crime goes up.
CNN reporting that the name floating around the internet (presumably Orlando Salinas) is not the Suspect. They say that they have spoke to the guy whose name is going around.
