I've just never been in a room smaller than Thompson-Boling Arena with him, to my knowledge, much less had any personal interaction with him. It seems kind of ridiculous, for me, to have feelings that strong about him. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Here's a link to campus crime statistics for large colleges. The time frame is limited to 2011-2013 but it's still interesting none the less: https://public.tableau.com/profile/publish/CampusCrimeLargeColleges/Dashboard1#!/publish-confirm Tennessee is around the middle of the pack.
The records do back Bowles claim that Butch called him twice on the day of the rape. Of course, that still doesn't prove anything, but it sure doesn't disprove it either.
I would say calling players and your boss during something like that is fairly common. I've seen where some people think this is some huge turn of events, I just don't see it
Did Butch deny calling him? Not to my knowledge. I don't think there is anything unusual about it. And the calls are six hours apart, with a call to Bowles' father between them. Not seeing the smoking gun.
Yeah he really uses a brick phone. Pretty self-explanatory, but also better for throwing at O-linemen.
