Just suppose for a minute that by some miracle the Vols hire a real football coach and start playing some real football and it reignites the interest of fans here. After all the fierce debating that has taken place here at the 8th the past 18 or so months, it kinda makes me wonder what a typical 8th tailgate party will be like. Can you imagine the meeting in the parking garage? Maybe we should rent a wrestling ring and have an 8th sanctioned meet. In the headliner, Tenny D vs Hat in a "loser leave town", no make that "loser leaves the country" match. Cotton vs IP in the "Basket of Deplorables" match. Uni vs Ben in the "Constitutional Slam" match. In the "At large" catagory, JayVol could volunteer to take on anyone who works for an insurance company. And for anyone who feels left out, the "Old Vol vs all comers" match.
I'd destroy Insurance Companies. I'm currently undefeated vs them. But folks are folks. Every 8th member I've met, I've got along with just fine.
I'm sure we'd do fine. I can live with your Buddhist heathenism, it's your hatred for Melungeons that concerns me.
The fact you gave your illegitimate offspring up for the Cubs has curbed my hatred of melungeons to mere disdain.
You'll likely never see me at any event. It would be such an underwhelming experience as to make it immediately forgettable. I'm anti-social, but not combatively so. I just don't like meeting new people, avoid it when I can, keep it as brief as possible where unavoidable, and desperately try to stay in the background, preferring to listen and observe, and less engaging and talking. I'm a weird cat, so you're not missing out on anything in not meeting me. I wouldn't fight Hat, and don't need him to kick my own ass. He's made of much tougher and far more tenacious stuff than he's shown in the wake of the election, and that's why I've taken exception to it. He's no quitter, and eventually reason will win, however needlessly delayed or fitfully it arrives.
I've met a grand total of one of you, and that's the guy that got me here. Everyone else is just an image in my mind. Though I've grown quite fond of some of those images, I can't be sure if face-to-face meeting would enhance or diminish them. Would dark liquor be involved?
