And Barnes is a good match for Fulmer. The two primary sports are setting up well for the next few years.
We need for Banks to figure out how not to fumble. Made me nervous with Tim Jordan in there on those short yardage plays.
Our pass attack played great despite jack on the ground. JG has grown up a lot, and we have some very talented WRs. And the D locked it down in the second half. No scores until the “we’ll give you one, as long as it’s slow” capper. Wanted to kick the figgy to ice it, but with the risk of a block, punting was the right call. That’s the confidence-builder we needed, and we have a clear path to a bowl. 2-2 vs USC/UK/Mizzou/Vandy is no gimme, but it is very doable.
I could only listen to parts, so I didn't get a good feel leading to to it, but what's the thoughts on the onside kick? I love the risky calls, but I remember during Florida it was considered desperation by a few.
Haha, I totally missed it when my DVR jumped 30 seconds. I was wondering what we did with a kickoff from the 50. Onside makes a ton of sense there IMO. Make it and you have the ball. Miss it and you’re giving up *max* 15 yards field position with the new fair catch rule. We’d have been crazy not to do it
I didn't love the onside kicks, but it does seem like both were highly recoverable. I am guessing they are calling them because of what they saw on film in regards to kick coverage. And if so, more power to him. Both games, they were right there to be recovered. Players just kinda choked.
