Maybe with that stupid new fair catch to the 25 rule, it’s a strategy to improve the value of the kicking game. That dumb rule virtually eliminated kick returns. Need to gets something out of special teams.
That's true. The onside we didn't get today didn't hurt us one bit. The ball ended up at about the 25.
I liked it. We were kicking off from the 50 due to a penalty. Auburn ended up getting it at the 25 mainly due to the fact that we refused to recover it.
And is there any doubt that Pruitt could take any of those Dooley Rosters and do it with them too? I have no doubt.
I’m not hearing any “enjoy it while we can” bullshit out of anyone either! We may have a bump or two left this season but next year Tennessee is going to be kicking some asses that weren’t expecting to be kicked. I’m looking at YOU Georgia... you too, Florida!!
We were kicking off from the 50. You should inside kick every time you kick off from 50. Risk reward is worth it.
Maybe i missed it, but Kesling never mentioned the penalty or strategy behind the onside. I was wondering how we recovered a fumble in the endzone a few plays after a failed onside though.
