You’re going to whip my ass, whenever I next see you. Tommy Boy isn’t a great movie, by any cinematic standard, but you’re the first person who I’ve ever heard say that they didn’t like it. And Chris Farley? You don’t dig Chris Farley - I’m not sure how that’s possible to do.
True Lies is another of Schwarzenegger's movies that is underrated. Great movie and I laugh my ass off at it. NOTE: Great in the sense that I love it, it is not a 'great' movie as in ground breaking or having any deep meaning of the time it was made.
The concept for the movie is actually better than the final product. It is a great movie though. I just don't think people at the time knew how to take it.
How about movies that were good but should have or could have been great? I’ll nominate V for Vendetta and The Adjustment Bureau.
The original 3 Indiana Jones's will get DVR-ed in the Smith house every time (and watched if I can get to them before the woman deletes them). Old movies I like: True Grit, Big Jake, The Man who Shot Liberty Valance, North By Northwest, Dial M for Murder, Ben Hur Some more recent ones for me: Interstellar Inception Django Moneyball Zero Dark Thirty (Yeah I know it's not super accurate, which has ruined it a little for me because when I originally watched I thought it was the greatest thing ever.) Fellowship of the Ring The Prestige The Big Short and of course the goat, Happy Gilmore.
The Cowboys (John Wayne movie) is a fantastic movie as well. I like Rio Bravo better than El Dorado. And I will also watch The Quiet Man anywhere, anytime.
