Bless you Jay. I can remember being about 10 or so helping my grandfather with the morning milking (knife papaw for reference) and he had been acting really funny all morning, not cutting up or cussing the cows. He told me to stay put while he stepped outside for a minute and keep an eye on the milkers and run the finished girls on through if I needed to. It was just a few seconds and I heard him screaming outside, scared me to death so I ran out. Was promptly told not to look and run up the hill and get my Mam, cause he was dying. That day I learned really fast those things were no joke, and I feel so badly for anyone that has to deal with them
