I can't imagine a more perfect example of your ability to only see one perspective while operating as the board police officer. (Hint #1 - Check the post I was responding to.) (Hint #2 - Not political, which shouldn't be hard to figure out.)
I'm thinking Bowden is past the point of it just being a slump. I don't think he can handle the pressure of being "the guy". He seemed much more comfortable being the 4th/5th option.
Open wing miss late was so big. We had all the momentum. Place would have erupted. Looked like a good release. His shots just come off hard for some reason most of the time
I don't think Bowden is having trouble because of the limelight, being the #1 guy. I think he is probably trying too hard to just get his shot right or over-thinking the process. I've been in the same place, trying to fix a slump by tinkering or adjusting some part of the process too much.
Kid is playing hard though. Maybe too hard offensively. Needs to learn a little from Vescovi, who is less athletic, but can penetrate with hesitations and pumps. Bowden never pumps.
I love his game and he has been excellent on reducing turnovers while still being creative and aggressive. Imagine what a nightmare he will be as the third or fourth option on offense, even as the second creator alongside Springer.
Our offense at this point should probably be more about Fulky and Pons collapsing the defense to get Vescovi open looks.
Gaines is a madman on defense. I love it. If Jalen Johnson isn't doing anything on offense, I say give his minutes to Gaines.
Probably unwarranted but I’m getting to the point where I just want Vescovi to let it fly when he gets a peek.
His pregame warmup is Steph like. Kid looks like hes having a blast too and its contagious. He also looks quicker and has really gotten into shape quickly. Rewatch the game and watch him jump around on defense, doubleteaming, etc. Really good anticipator
It’s just he’s pretty slow. I’m guessing Barnes will want us back up at Jordan Bone tempo if possible next year
