Dude seems like a headache. As a borderline 4 star he may be well advised to tread a little more lightly.
Don’t know anything about him other than his twitter persona. But, based solely on that, he seems more like a Mullen kinda guy than a Pruitt kinda guy.
I’ve now read this several times, and can’t figure out why he’d give a shit about what Tennessee media types do with Coach Duggs, or anything else. I also can’t figure out why we’d let a recruit determine what they do, outside of their recruitment, and why TN should even care.
I have a bad feeling it is because before the attention was directed towards him and the class tangentially, and it has shifted the spotlight to be more on the brand as a whole... He seems to be a high maintenance guy. JMO, which is worth nothing on recruiting especially.
I think he's fine. It's like the Zach Evans thing. People kept talking about the drama with the kid over the spring, but he wasn't saying much of anything. It was mostly rumors and people talking on boards. It seems as if people equate them talking about a kid and analyzing every rumor or whatever as the kid themselves doing it.
trying to think back about our recruits who tweeted a lot or had some twitter drama. Preston Williams? Big DT juco from last year tweeted a lot about dominating yet couldnt make the rotation. Have we had a player with some twitter drama ever pan out?
The way this usually works is he will go through all of this, come here, be a headache, and finish his career at a D-2 school or he'll go to Florida, be an All-American, and be the poster child for a successful student-athlete.
If Wilcoxson is flipping back to Florida, I wonder how much, if any, that new bill (allowing Florida college athletes to get paid from endorsements)had to do with it.
