Johnny Majors telling a story one time that literally had me crying. Long story short, UT is recruiting a kid. The kid’s position coach is in charge of his recruitment. During a coaches meeting, Majors goes around the room to ask about the kid and how it’s going. The coach stands up and says guys… I’m not sure it’s gonna come through because the kid’s dad just killed his mother with a hatchet. He said the kid is all out of sorts and I’m not sure football will even be on his radar in the fall. Majors said there was an audible gasp in the room. His exact words was that “I didn’t know what the [uck fay] to say.” Majors scans the room and sees Cafego sitting there with his hands folded together. He said “it just clicked… Cafego is an older guy that’s been around the block. He will know what to say in this spot.” Majors turns to Cafego and says… “coacher you got anything to add?” Cafego- “shit John, sounds like we need to be recruiting the dad.”
I love that the vandy boys know how to play under their lights on their field. Got any more them stickers?
I had interaction with the whistler when he shoved several people including my young son leaving the game when Grant Williams went off at vandy. Yelled sad shit all game too.
Somebody needs to take a bat to the whistler… I’m dead serious. That guy is the worst fan in all of college sports.
