Assume a pwo but kid looks like the fastest player and best athlete on the field. Just not sure how many D1 defensive athletes he played against.
Looking at his track times, 10.8, 21.75, and 49.5, he's got speed. Not super elite speed, but pretty fast. Those are also junior times, so he can get to some fairly heightened levels with some college strength programs. I had a kid who was running 10.75 in the 100m and 48.5 in the 400 as a high school junior go to an ACC school where he's now pushing a 10.3 100m even after sitting out track for a couple of years to play football. He'll have the burners, most likely, to roast some dudes. I'm thinking a Zach Rodgers like potential (Rodgers was a fantastic track guy in his own right).
Lost the Sensabaugh kid to Missouri. We've lost out to them far too often this year for them being a second-tier program in the conference.
If I'm making my decision solely on what I saw in '23, I'd be going to Missouri as well. To loosely quote Walter Sobchak, Missouri may not be elite defensively but at least they have an ethos, Dude.
Caller into Finebaum - Hey Pawl thank you for taking my call. I am a Missouri Tiger fan and was o tell you how happy we are to hav Coach Drinkwitz. I watch him and see all of the traits of a younger Nick Sabin. We have a Nick Sabin on our hands and he is building us a Dynasty.
We just beat out the WAC for a TE…so. We really aren’t recruiting or portaling in a way that really screams “taking the next step” as a program.
