It would be crazy to hire the best person that you could and if it happens to be a woman, so be it.

Start with gender - the one thing everyone says doesn't matter - and work your way backwards and down.

If she is named, I'm going to stage a protest and demand she be called "Lady Chancellor".

 

And, if you're trying to move closer to UNC's model - which TN should absolutely be doing - then there is no better or a more direct route than through poaching Cincy.

It's been a damned straight shot to matching UNC in football.

She does seem to have a legit resume so there's that.

I hate that there is an agenda like that, be objective and give the job to the best applicant.

 

As long as she doesn't hate sports I can't imagine that we will ever talk about her that much.

 

And if she can get UT moving up the college rankings, I'm all for it

 

Was told before she interviewed she was the strongest candidate of the three. Now, I have no idea who we did/didn't run off before hand (other than rumored etsu guy), but she seemed to be the one they wanted.

 

I don't care if the new Chancellor is a cardboard cutout of Pee-Wee Herman, as long as they don't try to scuttle the athletics.

 

Well that AND hopefully she doesn't snack on rolled up boogers.

 

As long as she's the best candidate for the job I don't care. Don't hire a woman for statement purposes.
