He's got 3 years to play 2, he's sat all summer and he's behind McKenzie, Picou, Vickers, O'Brien, Tuttle and possibly Kongbo. I kind of want him to. Let him get in shape, get brought up to speed and let him rotate in next year. That also means you could possibly RS two of the 4 DT's Butch has in the 2017 class.
Short term they don't need him to. If he has sat on the couch and gotten that far behind it wouldn't surprise me if he never contributes in a meaningful way.
Several reporters saying that although he's not in shape, they expect Alexis Johnson to at least play some snaps sooner rather than later. Hubbs said it could be a possibility that he gets some snaps Thursdsy night, although he thinks probably not, but wouldn't rule it out. Classic Hubbs
Also Shy Tuttle looking good as well. They're sounding more and more optimistic about him...we need both of these guys to be as close to full strength as possible by the time we hit the big 4 game stretch.
Yep. Be good to go on and at least get him some snaps in these first few games to get him ready for UF. We need him full speed for that game and the following 3 games.
