    “For our democracy to work, for us to continue to be able to work together...”

    I honestly think this has been long-forgotten and chalked up as being for the purely naive, but it’s entirely and importantly true, however inconvenient.

    I've had folks who worked on the congressional campaigns of some VA folks tell me he should and could.

    I was just poking fun at TD.

    I completely get the sentiment of how can a failed Senate run in TX propel a candidate forward.

    I get that.

    He’s been a member of Congress for 5 years now. It’s early. No doubt. But he, by the force of his politics and brand, will be the reason he runs if he does - not his Senate bid. What he did was impressive and I think there is a national appetite for him and his politics.

    Had he beat Cruz, it was a done deal. But, I’m not counting him out yet.
