Although on some level you can't blame a guy for wanting to make money. Early in his career Luke Bryan made decent music, but what he was doing would never have made him rich. He's doing what sells.
I mean in general you can't blame someone for wanting to make money. I think deep down he knows his music sucks and he's bad for country music. He's made his bed, but he's not gonna admit he sucks. Really, him and Butch have one big thing in common. They both shamelessly sell a dog shit product to the dumbest people in America.
See, I have no respect for somebody like that. Grab an 8 ball and a hooker and make your bones. I've never understood how something can be bad for a genre of music. Does he make other peoples music worse? Is there some sort of franchise value he is harming? Is he making the world a worse place for the people who are good for country music?
