There's really only 2 possible greyshirts and that would be Dews and Paulk. It doesn't look like Paulk will be greyshirted but he's almost guaranteed to redshirt his first year due to tearing an ACL this year.
The early theory was blue shirts. Those who had no officials, and did not sign an LOI but would have a spot held, and just enroll in the fall. I don't think anybody knows how we get 34-35 in.
Butch gives each player a different colored shirt and everyone makes it on the team. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but that's all I really understand.
I was told they expected to sign 33 or 34. I should have asked that question when I had the the chance. He may not know how either just that this was the number.
Surgically implant the smaller players inside of the larger players just before signing day. Then have them removed as "foreign bodies" once the LOI has been signed. Technically, they don't count as they were part of the original number of bodies signed.
