They just lost at home to a completely mediocre West Virginia team.
When our other wins are MTSU, Montana, & Buffalo, we need to delusion ourselves just a little to keep from crying.
It looked good until it didn't.
And its Dooley's best win. Yeah, think about that one
It may be his best win, ever. Though he did beat Miss State in 2008 with La. Tech, so...
Eh, still a "quality win", but not a "good win". Cinnci is a decent team and we manhandled them for 3 quarters.
Still a sad and sober reminder when that is our biggest win as a program since UGA 09 though.
Considering our sampling of wins, its elite.
And they beat the hell out of NC State. Next year's season opener for UT should be a pillow fight of epic proportions.
It's between Cincy and WVU for best team in the Big East. The Big East is a bad conference, I agree. But if it isn't a quality win, what are the other options?
It should also be noted that in the loss to WVU, Cincy's QB went out with an injury in the 2nd quarter. And, Cincy, like Tennessee, is a team that gets appreciably worse without its starting QB.
Doubt we'd fare any better against WVU. Regardless...it's the best win we can claim no matter what happens from here on out so it's "quality" in my book.
Agreed. I think the OP is referring to the folks that were making them out to be a legit top 25 team.
By that measure, UK was a quality win last year.
