2% tax annually on wealth over $50.2M and 3% over $1.1B. I know it doesn't sound like much, but man over time is that going to be a lot.
You can. But that breaks the system, causes crashes (people not spending their money, banks not lending, etc). Or people converting all of the currency into gold and just sitting on it.
the middle class and poor have never paid a less percentage than they do now. the wealthy are pretty much close to the 30 year average. all be it on the lower end.
Heck, I'm not even totally opposed to a once a decade wealth tax at those rates. But annually? No. Not at all.
Someone let me know when I can sit at home with my house a/c blowing 69 degrees, and a dedicated fan blowing on my balls while I eat steak and crab legs while the rich pay for it all. I'm ready ready.
A wealth tax just promotes more consumption which kills the economy long term. We don’t have a revenue issue. We have a spending problem. That’s at all levels. Federal, state, local, and personal. It’s probably never been easier to become wealthy in the history of the world. It’s just that we waste so much of our income on stupid shit.
That's what I want. It's what the rich owe me for me giving them all i work for. I've stopped talking to customers as much as I used to, but there are people that live in almost free homes, with their power, internet, and phone paid for. Some get free food, which includes steak and crab, they can also buy pizza from 7-11 if they don't feel like cooking.
Please stop. If you don't know there are people right now living like this, please never talk to me about free shit anymore
