I've really come to quite like Macron, particularly in the span of several recent days, and hope to hear much, much more from him, going forward - particularly on the need for steady and intelligent leadership, for bravery in the fight against climate change, and in the need for a EU Army. Of course, these are all terrific ideas and make fantastic soundbites, so naturally, I can't get enough of them. Now that Merkel and her cohorts have finally lost enough to convince her to step down as Germany's Joan of Bark, it's very good to know that the EU will remain comfortably safe in the steady and capable hands of France's Macron & Italy's Salvini. Here's to Europe's many, many upcoming successes.
It’s a little strange to see Macron and Salvini compared. Can’t imagine Macron would like Salvini. Surprised you didn’t mention Sebastian Kurz.
What do you mean? Macron and Salvini are both young up and coming leaders of the new EU, right? Am I missing something? Who is Kurz? Never heard of her.
Kurz is more of a Trumpkin than Macron. Macron is also extremely unpopular now. I would almost expect you to be happy about that, since he can’t be too close to you politically.
Don’t try to pass off your opinion as fact when making such a goofily broad statement, such as calling Macron “extremely unpopular”. Macron is VERY, VERY popular by a vast majority of French and Europeans, alike. It’s hard to buy your argument that the second most popular leader in the EU (behind Merkel, of course) is “extremely unpopular”. Cite your sources or admit you’re wrong to say that.
That would make sense. I assumed he was mocking Macron, but his comments about Merkel and Salvini made it unclear, since they seemed genuine.
Not that I have a dog in the fight, but those are all from 2017 and Macron's popularity has taken quite a nose dive. He is pretty unpopular now in France.
For good reason. Regressive climate policy that put the burden squarely on the rural worker. Ridiculous.
Still more popular than his predecessor, believe it or not. But then again, I think Louis XVI is more popular than Hollande.
Bull [uck fay]ing shit. More opinion that you cannot prove. He’s beloved by all in both France and Europe. And he’s widely -WIDELY - respected throughout the world.
