I've told people that said I am an obnoxious UT fan to just wait until UT is good again. There's a side to this a lot of people new to my life have no idea about.
I find a way to still be obnoxious by loudly laying out UT's dirty laundry to anyone watching a football game. I now have a friend who checks the box score just to know the context of the drama I am going to drop on him.
grew up a Dodger fan because my father lived in LA during the Koufax years. Got to meet Koufax and he showed me how to throw my overhand curveball. I have every Koufax card made and a couple autographed. Was a Dodger forever, then Rickey Henderson's free agency fight changed baseball forever and now I simply don't root for any team, as they're all mercenaries at this point. I get that it's better for the players and let's them set the market values, but free agency has killed professional sports for me. It's why I now stick to college, even though college baseball is generally garbage.
