are you still a sleeper team if everyone has you as a sleeper team? he also has cal on the list, so hopefully that's not bad mojo for you guys. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/2...tennessee-minnesota-cal-temple-southern-miss/
Yeah, I would think a sleeper is someone that no one else has picked but you have an inside scoop on. Like Cal. THAT is a sleeper pick. Tennessee? Not so much.
it's not just you. I wonder how many people had tcu going from 5-7 to 11-1 last year? I bet not many.
cal is actually on a lot of sleeper lists, but then the article usually says something like "we think they can break through, go 6-6 and make a bowl!" gee thanks.
It's just that the ones who do are the ones you remember as "supposed to be good." If people say "they're gonna be good" and they are, they fade from memory if they do anything less than winning a championship.
Yep. Oklahoma should be an 8 or 9 win team. Tennessee should be an 8 or 9 win team. Alabama, UGA, arguably Mizzou are better than OU. lose to OU and the optimistic push games turn into losses
2014 Sleepers: Pretty lousy job. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/sports/wp/2014/08/26/college-football-preview/ Iowa Hawkeyes, Washington Huskies, Kansas State Wildcats, USC Trojans tried to look for other ones, but couldnt' find them.
Mizzou better than OU? Jeez, idk, OU's the more talented, imo. Two mack trucks w/ wheels @ RB, slot Shepard, transfer Mayfield at QB, a D that returns what eight led by Striker and Sanchez, the O line is their achilles with just two returning starters. I'd switch Arky for Mizzou, that's just me
