I will readily accept that there are multiple students at most universities that are similarly smart to even solid Harvard students. The quartile by quartile comparisons do tend to shift though.
no doubt about it. With education morphing toward mid-level or even lower tier students, the quality of instruction and interaction that can happen when the bottom is relatively high is a different beast. A student can get a fabulous education anywhere, but education is different in a room full of very bright peeps.
That's right. Our little johnny is sooo smart. He just isn't challenged. If smart is judged by current status of NCAA brackets, I'm toast.
