I hope to goodness Pruitt is our guy long term, and that he wildly succeeds here and doesnt want to be anywhere else.
To think how badly most of us wanted that guy, and understandably so. Just a bizarre fall from the top.
He was my first, second and third choice. Recruiting like this, he’d have been a complete disaster here.
I honestly can't see how he won't. Sure Tennessee has some catching up to do as far as talent is concerned, but the gap is slowly closing. And CP knows football, knows what it takes to compete at the top level, has an AD that fully supports him and gives him what he needs at a school that has the facilities and tradition that is top notch. CP hires the best people(not a trump joke) and strikes me as a guy that once he puts the stamp on the program as his, something that he built, he's not just going to leave it on a whim. The only scenario I can see him leaving is if the NFL comes calling and by then the program will be rolling. That's how I see it anyways.
I can personally see many ways he won't. He may be the best fit we've had in decades, but we're still talking about a man who went 5-7 and gave up half a hundo to a Dooley led-O and nearly that to Vandy with bowl eligibility on the line. what he's done after has been positive but positive shit happened in the 2011 and 2014 offseason.
