A lot of Nashville and Memphis hs coaches were really surprised by him leaving. He did a very good job making those guys feel like their kids were priority 1 and spoke at length about how he wanted to do right by them.

They had to know he was going to leave at some point. Mark Howard said it best Friday morning on the zone. He said that Franklin has realized there is only so much that can be done at Vandy, and that with Tennessee starting to dominate the state in recruiting again, it was only going to get harder for him to succeed.
