There is a ways to go but you could see Clemons jumping Bama. Then LSU loses and that gets them to 7. If they jump the Big 10 loser that’s 6. USC loses that’s 5. Then it’s opinion. The team that really loosens it up is TCU. That would allow the committee to put in the better of Clemson or USC while allowing a Tennessee in
I don't think it really matters now. Unless you guys really care about which bowl. In which case, okay.
It would be nice to at least salvage something. Even if the bowls don't mean as much as they used to I would still like to go to the Sugar or Orange and not the Citrus.
Still would’ve needed a TCU or USC loss imo They’re told to favor conference champions unless somebody else is clear cut better
Speaking of the naval academy, did you see where this guy acquired test scores/GPA for 500 Navy football players by going to the admissions office and "name dropping" Niumatalolo?
Apparently, he was using the data to update the recruiting philosophy in his manifesto. He'd decided that there was some correlation between test scores/GPA and work ethic for athletes. Something about low test scores and high GPA meant they would be good players because they were basically out working their intelligence to get a high score and he thought that would translate to the field. That the admissions office at the academy would hand over 10 years worth of records to him without having any documentation that he should have access to them seems problematic, too.
