Texas obviously controls that conference. Adding a team like SMU means Texas can tell them to take our crumbs and like it and SMU isn't big enough to do a damn thing about it.

it would make craig james happy and that i cannot accept. seems like tcu would be a better addition. i bet they could poach em from teh big east.

 

Depending on how big the SEC decides to go, if I am the Pac 10 and Big 10, I might be rethinking that 16 team conference idea.

 

larry scott is no idiot. i'm sure he's working a plan to merge the texas and pac-12 network as we speak. only question is if texas will be interested.

 

TCU fields a competitive team and isn't begging to be brought aboard.

 

Everyone outside of Norman, Oklahoma would probably be scared that TCU would kick their ass as long as Patterson is there.

Then again, TCU won in Norman a few years ago as well.

Just speaking of football of course. Not sure what else TCU would bring to the table across the other sports.
