This guy gives me hope for sports journalism https://theathletic.com/460122/2018...ow-from-keller-chryst-and-jarrett-guarantano/ I highly recommending getting a subscription to The Athletic if for nothing else than to read his work on UT
He's light years ahead better than the people in Knoxville. His breakdown of the open practice yesterday was great.
Yep, the subscription has been well worth it. I like Hubbs and the boys alright but the rest of the local guys suck.
It was not a glamorous process that climaxed with a ticker-tape parade. Pruitt is not a conquering hero coming home. He’s an outsider looking to endear himself to millions looking inside the Tennessee football fishbowl. He plans on doing that through one means only: winning. My lord that sent chills up my spine.
I'm still getting used to well-written stories about Tennessee football. "As Alabama marched to its fifth national title in nine seasons, Tennessee was drowning in a sea of catchphrases and conference losses." The man just perfectly described my misery with a metaphor and threw in some alliteration for the fun of it. I'm excited when the VQ crew uses spell check.
I fell prey to others here as well. It's made for something to do this morning. I've enjoyed catching up on some of the stuff over the last few months.
It's nice to see a reporter actually reporting. Hubbs is an employee of the UT. He's going to paint everything nice and rosy. Rucker is a [itch bay]. Hyams is out of touch. Adams just wants to rail on Fulmer, still.
Today's piece is such a solid breakdown. He's yet again put the rest of the Knox "journalists" to shame
