It could be Hiestand or then again it could be that our players are soft and better suited for pass protection. I mean, our guys had both height and weight on MTSU's DL and still weren't getting a push. They were being stood up on every single running play but providing good pass protection. I just don't get it...I'm baffled. Blocking really isn't that difficult when it comes to running the football.
Same thing happened in 2008. We lost most of the starters off that line but came back a good bit better the next year, despite playing walkons and freshmen. One of those guys that was an absolute bum in 2008 ended up starting for the Steelers.
