I definitely don’t expect a call at that point in the game, but there’s a case that Jokic fouled Bron AND KCP fouled Prince on the shot.

I don't think this is true, the Stepien Rule wouldn't allow them to go 2 consecutive drafts without a first round pick. But they only have a pick every other year and they're all subject to swaps, so they always get the worse pick out of theirs and [Washington/Memphis/whoever]

Flip Rui to the Nuggets and MPJ to the Lakers and the Lakers might have won this series in 5.

 

No one who watched that series thinks the Lakers got "destroyed" by the Nuggets.

The Lakers led for like, 80% of the minutes played, lost 2 games on buzzer beaters (essentially) and probably push it to a Game 6 if not for AD being injured to the point of not being able to lift his arm above his head in Game 5.

And those 2 players "better" than SGA outplayed Jokic and Murray for the series as a duo. It was abundantly clear that the difference between these 2 teams was players 3-8.

 

And as far as "value" goes, I don't know how better to put it than that tweet about LeBron. +3 in the 44 minutes he played. -5 in the 4 minutes he sat. And that was the difference in the game.

 

It's an owner issue.

 

They're basically [uck fay]ed.

They have no true way of improving their team, and the team as currently constructed isn't even close to contending. That means their wasting years of their franchise player's (Booker) prime.

Then take into account that out of the 3 stars they have (Durant, Booker, Beal), the one they'd most prefer to cut ties with (Beal) has a no-trade clause. So they can't get rid of him.

They can't just run it back with the roster because Booker ain't gonna be happy not contending in his prime. So they basically have to trade Durant, but what they can get back for him probably isn't enough to push them to contender status either. So no matter what, they're basically locked in to wasting multiple years of Booker's prime, which means he becomes more and more likely to demand a trade or just leave in a few years in free agency.

In short, again, they're basically [uck fay]ed.
