UTM Fires coach

I'm not sure it's possible to win there and really don't know why any coach would ever go there unless there were zero other options available, including high school, middle school, and 5 year old rec league.

I advocate this 100% and would donate to the cause. Would be excitement not seen since their D2 playoff trip in football in the late 80s.

 

Cadillac would be hell of a recruiting tool for him.

Yeah, I guess they did win the OVC in football one year now that you mention it.

 

They fired a perfectly good coach a few years ago for no good reason. They are getting what they deserve.

So? He got Lester Hudson there. What else has anyone else ever done there?

 

What does it matter what anyone else has done? In 11 years, he never won the conference tournament. And I don't see people fighting to hire him as a head coach.

 

I've got news for you. If anyone else wants a coach, he's not going to be at UT-Martin. It is one to the 10-15 worst jobs in D-I.

I don't disagree, but whether you squeak into the conference tournament every year or go 8-23 it doesn't matter. You still haven't accomplished anything.

 

If what Campbell put on the floor with Hudson and those guys isn't considered accomplishing anything there, they should shut it down. They aren't doing any better.

 

How many Hudsons did he have in his 11 years? 1. And there wasn't another on the horizon. He can thank Jason James for that once in a lifetime player at UTM

 

Won't be able to recruit as well as he does at CPA.
